FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking qualified Nursery Practitioners to join their Baby Room team. Responsibilities include building relationships with babies and families, planning activities, and ensuring the health and well-being of children. Candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience.
Key roles and responsibilities
- Be a ‘key person’ to a small group of babies (from 3 to 24 months old) and build positive relationships with their families
- Monitor babies’ progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
- Plan and create activities which keep babies engaged throughout the day
- Enable babies to become more independent
- Help prepare babies for the transition into ther Toddler Room (24 to 36 months)
- Protect and promote the health and well-being of all children
- Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
- Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
- Develop good relationship with parents
- Show ability to report on their growth and progress
Key Requirements:
- Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 (in Childcare, Early Childhood)
- Minimum 1 year’ experience of working in a Baby Room of a nursery/early years setting
- Good knowledge of the EYFS
- Willing to progress in terms of leadership within the company
Key requirements
- Childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 or above (such as Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce), or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 year’ experience of working in a nursery/early years setting
- Good knowledge of the EYFS
- Be flexible and patient
- Be able to communicate effectively within a team
- Good level of English (written and verbal)
Practical considerations
- Employment : Full or part-time
- Number of working hours : 36 to 40 per week
- Annual salary: between £25 and £30K depending on nb of hours, certifications and experience
