FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is seeking qualified Nursery Practitioners to join their Baby Room team. Responsibilities include building relationships with babies and families, planning activities, and ensuring the health and well-being of children. Candidates must have relevant qualifications and experience.

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Be a ‘key person’ to a small group of babies (from 3 to 24 months old) and build positive relationships with their families
  • Monitor babies’ progress to ensure they reach their developmental targets
  • Plan and create activities which keep babies engaged throughout the day
  • Enable babies to become more independent
  • Help prepare babies for the transition into ther Toddler Room (24 to 36 months)
  • Protect and promote the health and well-being of all children
  • Ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed
  • Promote positive relationships in the early years setting
  • Develop good relationship with parents
  • Show ability to report on their growth and progress

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a full and relevant early years and childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 (in Childcare, Early Childhood)
  • Minimum 1 year’ experience of working in a Baby Room of a nursery/early years setting
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS
  • Willing to progress in terms of leadership within the company

Key requirements

  • Childcare qualification at Level 2 or Level 3 or above (such as Early Years Educator, NVQ Level 3 in CCLD, Level 3 Diploma for the Children & Young People’s Workforce), or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 year’ experience of working in a nursery/early years setting
  • Good knowledge of the EYFS
  • Be flexible and patient
  • Be able to communicate effectively within a team
  • Good level of English (written and verbal)

Practical considerations

  • Employment : Full or part-time
  • Number of working hours : 36 to 40 per week
  • Annual salary: between £25 and £30K depending on nb of hours, certifications and experience
