FULL DESCRIPTION

Graduate/Assistant Building Surveyor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate or Assistant Building Surveyor to join a market-leading property consultancy in their Southampton office. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and highly regarded team, working across a broad mix of commercial and residential instructions while receiving excellent training, mentoring and structured APC support (if required).

Role & Responsibilities of the Graduate / Building Surveyor:

  • Supporting contract administration on refurbishment and new build projects
  • Assisting with planned maintenance programmes
  • Undertaking due diligence and condition surveys
  • Supporting dilapidations matters
  • Assisting with development monitoring instructions
  • Carrying out reinstatement cost assessments
  • Involvement in party wall matters
  • Working closely with senior colleagues across varied instructions

Skills & Experience of the Graduate / Building Surveyor:

  • Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • Either working towards APC or recently qualified (MRICS)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Keen to develop technical expertise across professional and project work
  • Motivated, proactive and client-focused approach
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
