Building Surveyor / Senior Building Surveyor
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Building Surveyor or Senior Building Surveyor to join a well-established Building Consultancy team in the South. This role offers a varied workload across commercial and residential property, with exposure to both professional and project-based instructions.
Role & Responsibilities of the Building Surveyor:
- Delivering building surveying services across commercial and residential property
- Undertaking building surveys, condition surveys and technical due diligence
- Preparing schedules of condition and providing party wall advice
- Advising on dilapidations, including preparation, negotiation and settlement
- Contract administration, including preparing tender and contract documentation
- Advising on procurement routes and contractor appointments
- Preparing specifications and scheme designs
- Project management and project monitoring, including bank monitoring
Skills & Experience of the Building Surveyor:
- Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) or working towards chartership
- Experience across a range of professional and project instructions
- Confident managing individual instructions and client relationships
- Commercially aware and proactive
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to deliver work accurately and to agreed timescales
