Role & Responsibilities of the Housing Repairs & Maintenance Manager:
- Leading the delivery of responsive, planned, void and major works programmes
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements
- Managing and developing the housing repairs and maintenance team
- Overseeing contractor procurement, performance and value for money
- Managing stock condition data and investment planning to support business plans
- Establishing and managing programmes of work across the housing portfolio
- Driving service improvement and enhancing tenant experience
- Preparing performance reports and advising senior leadership
- Working collaboratively across Housing and wider Council services
Skills & Experience of the Housing Repairs & Maintenance Manager:
- Building Surveyor background with significant experience in housing repairs, maintenance and compliance
- Strong leadership and people management capability
- Experience working in a regulated environment (ideally social housing)
- Knowledge of housing health & safety, building compliance and asset management
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operational pressures
- Strong communication, reporting and stakeholder management skills
- MRICS, MCIOB or relevant professional membership desirable
Salary & Benefits:
- 54,617 – £58,269 base salary
- Up to 31 days annual leave (dependent on service)
