Overview

This role is responsible for leading a customer service and inside sales function within a business-to-business environment. The position focuses on delivering high-quality support to both internal stakeholders and external customers, while also driving lead generation and supporting revenue growth.

The successful candidate will oversee a small team, manage customer interactions across the full sales lifecycle, and collaborate closely with commercial and operational teams to ensure a consistent and effective customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily customer service and inside sales operations, ensuring service standards and performance targets are achieved
  • Act as a central point of contact for customer enquiries relating to orders, quotations, deliveries, returns, and issue resolution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers, guiding products and services
  • Ensure customer agreements, pricing, and contractual terms are processed in line with internal policies and procedures
  • Monitor and manage sales pipeline activity using CRM systems to maximise conversion and revenue opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members, including onboarding, training, and performance management

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in customer service and/or inside sales leadership within a B2B environment
  • Experience in a technical, manufacturing, or industrial environment
  • Experience managing customer relationships, proposals, and sales processes
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and performance tracking tools
  • Comfortable working with data, reporting, and standard business software (e.g., spreadsheets, documents)
