This role is based in the field and focuses on science communication, marketing, and raising brand awareness of [Employer hidden] to improve the company’s presence in the life science community at key research institutions.
This is an ideal opportunity for a PhD student, or postdoc, who wants to gain industry experience in marketing and science communication.
[Employer hidden]’s commercial marketing program provides aspiring PhD students and postdocs with marketing, science communication, and event planning experience. The role is approx. 15 hours a month and can be tailored according to the experience you would like to gain. [Employer hidden] can provide reference letters, career guidance, and access to an international network during, and on completion of the program.
##### Activities include:
- Raising brand awareness of [Employer hidden] at your institution with flyers, word of mouth, social media and emails.
- Leveraging personal or professional social media accounts to promote the company’s brand, webinars, and campaigns. Engaging with target audiences and [Employer hidden]’s posts to increase visibility and reach.
- Helping to organize onsite and/or virtual events within your institution.
- Supporting and promoting specific [Employer hidden] marketing campaigns.
- Facilitating communication between university labs and [Employer hidden], providing feedback, ideas and market data.
- Participating in monthly meetings
##### Ideal candidate
- Interested in a career in science communication or marketing.
- Enthusiastic and outgoing, excellent at forming collaborations and networking.
- The candidate must be a current PhD student in life sciences at a UK institution.
- Ideally, they would be involved in a relevant life sciences society/club.
- Ideally has a social media presence or actively growing their following and would be comfortable using their platform to promote the [Employer hidden] brand, events, and campaigns. Engage with posts from [Employer hidden] on social media platforms through interactions, comments, and sharing.
- Using antibodies regularly with knowledge of antibody applications
- Good time management and organisation.

- Temporary contract - 6 or 12 month program
- Part-time – approximately 15 hours a month
