Junior Finance Analyst (6 Month FTC)

Join us as a Finance Analyst on a 6 month contract supporting the Cloud & Connectivity division at [Employer hidden], where you’ll play a key role in shaping how the business understands its numbers. You’ll dive deep into management accounts, analyse cost of sales, and work closely with the Senior Finance Manager to bring clarity, insight, and accuracy to financial performance. This is a role for someone who enjoys improving processes, spotting opportunities for efficiency, and turning complex data into meaningful stories that drive better decision‑making.

  • Strong accounting knowledge, ideally AAT qualified
  • Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
  • Skilled in Excel, with experience in NetSuite or Power BI a bonus

  • Collaborative team player who builds positive relationships

Key responsibilities:

  • Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries
  • Support month‑end processes, including accounting adjustments, accruals, and prepayments
  • Analyse and interpret financial figures
  • Produce management information with detailed variance analysis and commentary
  • Ensure accuracy of information processed in the accounts and escalate issues to the Ledger Manager
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements
  • Collaborate with Billing to ensure accurate reporting
  • Build understanding of departmental operations across the business
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
  • Support year‑end and audit processes
  • Assist with integrating acquisitions into the [Employer hidden] Group
  • Carry out additional tasks as required by senior management
