SALARY RANGE

Competitive £50,000 to £65,000 per year + benefits depending on:

About the role

Summary

Junior to Mid DevOps Engineer - full-time - hybrid - 2-3 years commercial experience - Visa sponsorship available

• Junior to Mid DevOps Engineer
• Design & scale our next gen infrastructure supporting product and user growth
• Maintain & improve current infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve current AWS & on-premise infrastructure
• Report directly to the CTO
• Deploy and maintain single or multi-tenant SaaS applications
• Work alongside team of Agile developers using JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian suite products
• Develop / maintain documentation on operational, configuration, or other procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve network, automation pipelines, and infrastructure issues

Technical Skills

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience with the following:

• Hands-on AWS experience (vpc, ec2, elb, s3, cloud watch)
• Strong systems administration expertise (Docker, Ubuntu)
• Knowledge of Monitoring and Observability Tools (New Relic)
• Experience with coding or scripting language (Python or other)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
• Experience with SCM tools (Git)
• Experience with application and web servers (Express, Nginx, Apache HTTP server)
• Experience with test automation
• Experience with Docker container management
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle and delivery using Agile best practices

Nice to have (at least a few or equivalent):

• Knowledge of database design, sharding, replication, scaling and administration (MongoDB, Redis)
• Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's , load balancing and firewalls
• Experience with MicroServices Architecture
