FULL DESCRIPTION

Are you a recent Engineering or Product Design graduate with strong CAD skills and a passion for turning ideas into real products? This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing engineering manufacturer where you will be involved in the full product development lifecycle from concept and design through to prototyping and production.

About the role

Working as part of a collaborative design team and reporting to senior engineering leadership, you will:

  • Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing products
  • Support the development of products from concept through to manufacture
  • Assist with prototyping, testing, and design improvements
  • Contribute to design analysis, including stress considerations and FEA where appropriate
  • Produce product documentation, manuals, and technical information
  • Help maintain bills of materials and engineering data within internal systems
  • Work cross-functionally with quality, compliance, and manufacturing teams
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities
  • Learn about manufacturing methods including sheet metal, machined parts, assemblies, and cast components

You’ll have the opportunity to see your designs become real products, gaining valuable industry experience across multiple engineering disciplines.

About You

We’re looking for someone with strong foundations and the right mindset, attitude and potential are just as important as experience.

You should ideally have:

  • A degree, HND, or HNC in Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline
  • Strong 3D CAD skills (any package considered, training provided on company systems)
  • A genuine interest in product design and manufacturing
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
