Multi-Skilled Engineer

£42,000 – £49,000 per annum

Chichester

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant, processes, and assets to ensure they operate to a safe, efficient, and reliable standard. Your contribution will support our commitment to delivering high-quality, safe food products, while adhering to health and safety standards and maximising plant performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day maintenance and improvements to plant and equipment.
  • Use engineering systems effectively and ensure clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Complete PPM tasks and improve maintenance practices.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment faults quickly.
  • Promote and uphold health and safety standards.
  • Identify and resolve faulty processes with long-term solutions.
  • Maintain high-quality and GMP standards.
  • Actively participate in shift meetings and lead team communication.
  • Manage stock control and maintain accurate shift paperwork.

Person Specification:

  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous FMCG/manufacturing experience (desirable).
  • Strong electrical fault-finding knowledge.
  • Relevant engineering qualifications.
  • Experience with process analysis and improvement.
  • Proficient in CMMS and IT applications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • A good level of either Electrical or Mechanical knowledge (or both) plus a willingness to train and learn further in these areas
  • Possesses relevant engineering qualifications, minimum of level 3 engineering NVQ or equivalent
