We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Compliance Advisory Manager to join our second line Compliance function. This role provides clear, pragmatic regulatory advice and constructive challenge to the business, supporting good customer outcomes and ensuring adherence to regulatory expectations.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Provide practical and commercially focused advice on regulatory compliance, conduct risk, and customer outcomes.
- Support the business in interpreting regulatory expectations and applying them effectively.
- Assist with responses to regulatory consultations, requests, and thematic reviews.
- Prepare briefings, summaries, and materials for governance committees and internal forums.
- Escalate significant compliance or conduct issues appropriately.
- Maintain accurate records of advisory activity and decisions within governance systems.
- Contribute to regulatory change and continuous improvement activity.
- Collaborate with Risk and other functions to ensure aligned oversight and consistent advice.
- Support incident management by assessing regulatory implications and guiding next steps.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and developments.
Your skills and experience:
- Experience working within a second line Compliance role in insurance
- Demonstrable understanding of regulatory compliance and conduct risk within a UK-regulated environment.
- Working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulatory priorities and expectations
- Sound judgement and willingness to challenge constructively
- Ability to interpret regulation and apply it in a practical, business-focused way.
- Experience supporting governance forums, regulatory change activity, or oversight processes.
- Ability to manage workload independently, prioritise effectively, and operate in a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to delivering good customer outcomes and supporting a compliance culture.
