About the Role:

As a Healthcare Assistant, you’ll be an integral part of our caregiving team, ensuring our clients receive the utmost care and comfort. Every day brings new opportunities to make a real and lasting impact on our clients’ lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personal Care: Assist clients with daily activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, ensuring they maintain their dignity at all times.
  • Monitoring: Observe and record clients’ health conditions and behaviours, alerting nurses or the office of any significant changes or concerns.
  • Nutrition Support: Assist with feeding  clients, ensuring they receive the proper nutrition based on their individualised care plans.
  • Mobility Aid: Support  clients in moving around, including transfers from beds to wheelchairs using the correct moving and handling techniques.
  • Emotional Support: Engage in genuine conversations, offer companionship and always be a listening ear for our  clients.
  • Safety: Ensure  clients rooms and common areas are safe, clean, and free of hazards.
  • Medication Administration:Assist clients in the safe administration of their medication, offering guidance and reminders when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Applicants will be subject to a full satisfactory DBS check
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal is essential.
  • Ability to handle physical demands of the job, such as lifting and transferring clients.
  • Strong sense of empathy, compassion and patience.
