We are looking for a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bridge Haven, our residential care home in Canterbury, Kent.

What You’ll Do:

  • Prepare vegetables, fruits, and other food items.
  • Assist in laying tables, serving food, and cleaning up after meals.
  • Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Ensure food is prepared in safe, sanitary conditions.
  • Support in menu planning, ensuring meals are nutritious and tailored to residents' needs.
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations to maintain a safe environment for both staff and residents.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A caring and understanding approach to the needs of older people.
  • Enthusiasm for cooking and working as part of a team.
  • Desirable: A City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in catering, experience with cultural dietary needs, or an Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene.
