Job Title: Analyst Programmer

Location: Bradford

Salary: 25000 to 30000 GBP per annum

About the role

The successful candidate will work with the Informatica team to implement, maintain, and enhance its enterprise-level data architecture using Informatica Power Center and Power Exchange tool. The successful candidate will work as part of a team comprised of a project manager, business analysts, and other members of the technical staff to use test-driven development techniques to develop and implement ETL processes to support sequencing and analysis efforts.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years of experience in developing Informatica PowerCenter ETL mappings using Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, and Repository Manager
  • Experience in administration and configuration of Informatica PowerCenter Server in Windows and Unix using Admin Console and Metadata Manager
  • Experience with Unix/Linux (Specifically, RHEL)
  • Experience in backup repository and implementation migration to different environments
  • Experience in Informatica Velocity proven methodology and ETL industry standards
  • Troubleshoot and perform tune existing ETL solutions; Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of data warehouse systems analysis/programming activities
  • Experience as database developer on data warehousing/database projects
  • Experience using Oracle PL/SQL
  • Work with Business Analysts and Data Modelers to understand requirements
  • Design and develop sustainable database ETL applications to support those requirements
  • Create technical design documents that capture source to target mapping, define transformation algorithms, and document data quality rules
  • Informatica Administration/Troubleshooting • React to and correct day-to-day operational errors.
  • Experience with Object-Oriented methodologies, Test-First Development, Continuous Integration, and Agile Development processes
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to tune and optimize complex queries
  • Experience with Unix/Linux (Specifically RHEL)
  • Experience in software development using Oracle and XML
  • Relational databases (Oracle 11g)
  • Experience at physical database modeling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Be able to communicate fluently
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years (Nice to have)
