Looking for a role where you can take the lead on meaningful projects, help shape a growing team, and enjoy the backing of a well-established consultancy? This is a standout opportunity to join an employee-owned civil and structural engineering firm known for its collaborative culture, technical excellence, and long-term client relationships. With six offices across the UK and a reputation for high-quality work, they offer services across structural and civil engineering, building surveying, and expert witness support.

Now expanding their presence in Leeds, they’re looking for a Senior Civil / Structural Engineer to take ownership of local project delivery, support business development, and mentor junior engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and delivering small to medium-sized civil and structural engineering projects across a range of sectors
  • Managing and mentoring junior engineers, providing technical oversight and professional development support
  • Meeting clients, defining project scopes, preparing proposals, and supporting business growth in the region
  • Carrying out structural surveys, assessments, reporting, and contract administration
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard—on time, within budget, and in line with regulations

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree-qualified Civil or Structural Engineer (ideally Chartered, or working towards CEng with ICE or IStructE)
  • Strong experience with building structures, structural assessments, and refurbishment projects
  • Background in project delivery with minimal supervision and a hands-on leadership style
  • Comfortable working across design software, reporting, and contract administration (familiarity with JCT preferred)
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills, with a focus on collaboration and mentoring
  • Commercially aware, with good knowledge of UK building regulations and technical standards

WHAT'S ON OFFER:

  • Competitive salary with annual performance bonus and employee ownership trust (EOT) bonus
  • 25 days holiday (plus more with service)
  • Hybrid and flexible working arrangements
  • Private healthcare and 5% pension
  • CPD and chartership support
  • Cycle to Work Scheme and other perks
  • A modern, supportive office environment in central Leeds
