FULL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Estimating Manager, the Graduate Estimator will support the preparation of competitive tender designs and cost estimates for ground engineering and civil engineering solutions. The role is designed to develop technical, commercial and professional skills while contributing to the successful securing of profitable, safe and sustainable work for the business, in accordance with [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] Ltd’s Integrated Management System, quality standards, and Health, Safety & Environmental policies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in preparing accurate and competitive tenders and estimates across a range of ground engineering and civil engineering disciplines.
- Support the development of safe, practical and cost-effective engineering solutions for tender opportunities.
- Review drawings, specifications, contract documents and ground investigation information to support tender submissions.
- Assist in identifying technical, commercial and operational risks at tender stage and contribute to risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the preparation of tender proposals in line with company procedures and the Integrated Management System.
- Liaise with estimators, engineers, commercial and operational teams to ensure tender submissions are coordinated, accurate and commercially robust.
- Support communication with clients and external stakeholders throughout the tender process, including attendance at site visits, meetings and online discussions as required.
- Assist with project handovers for secured work to design, commercial and operations teams in accordance with company procedures.
- Contribute to a collaborative “one-team” approach, particularly on multi-discipline opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc (Hons) degree (2:2 or above) in Civil Engineering, Geology, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline essential
- Interest in estimating, commercial management or pre‑construction.
- Full UK driving licence (or willingness to work towards) desirable
