FULL DESCRIPTION
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking for a talented and motivated Lead Florist & Floristry Manager to lead our growing floristry department and help shape its next stage of development.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining floristry, team management and the opportunity to grow weddings, events and contract flower work.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and supporting a small team of florists
- Maintaining consistent bouquet style and quality across locations
- Overseeing flower buying and stock management
- Ensuring efficient production and minimal flower waste
- Working with the team to deliver weddings, events and contract flowers
- Planning key seasonal events including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas
- Helping establish Bloom Works as a destination for flowers and workshops
About You
You will be an experienced retail florist, senior florist or head florist who enjoys both hands-on floristry and helping develop a growing department.
You will likely have:
- Several years’ professional floristry experience
- Strong bouquet-making and floral design skills
- Experience supervising or supporting other florists
- Confidence ordering flowers and managing stock
- A fast and organised approach to floristry production
- A proactive attitude and interest in developing the floristry offering
Experience with weddings, events or contract flowers would be an advantage but is not essential.
If possible, we would also welcome photos or examples of your floristry work as part of your application.
What We Offer
- A creative leadership role within a growing independent London business
- The opportunity to lead and grow a floristry department generating £350k+ annually
- A dedicated floristry workspace at Bloom Works
- A supportive and collaborative team environment
- A performance-based incentive scheme linked to growing floristry sales, contract flowers and weddings
A Typical Day in the Role
A typical day might begin at Bloom Works preparing bouquets for delivery to our stores. On flower delivery days you may be checking in new flower orders and working with the team to prepare bouquets for the shop floor.
During the week you may also:
- Meet with a couple planning flowers for a small wedding
- Prepare arrangements for one of our restaurant flower contracts
- Plan ordering for the next delivery of fresh flowers
- Work with the team to ensure all stores have beautiful, fresh bouquets
- Develop ideas for seasonal displays or workshops
During busy seasonal periods such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas, the focus shifts to planning production and supporting the team through peak trading.
No two weeks are quite the same, which is part of what makes the role enjoyable.
