Becoming a carer for Care for Good, a private home care provider service, supporting the work of the Hospice and The Rapid Personalised Care Service, a funded specialist palliative care service for those approaching end of life.
The nuts and bolts of the role
As a Bank Carer, you will provide compassionate, flexible and person-centred care to individuals in their own homes. The role can include supporting clients/patients with various levels of health care needs, from those with minimal support requirements to those who are approaching the end of their life.
This is a bank role, meaning you will be able to pick up visits when available.
For our staff we place great importance on practice development, clinical supervision and ongoing education. We are also committed to giving you more flexibility and control over your working life. By joining our bank you’ll gain access to a choice of available shifts, covering rostered shifts 7 days a week between 8am to 10pm.
The must haves...
- Care certificate / NVQ qualified level 2
- Previous experience in care is essential.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding principles, adhering to organisational policies.
- Competence to deliver direct and intimate personal care.
- Able to work independently, and as part of a team
- Empathetic with excellent listening and communication skills
- Resilience when faced with complex and emotionally challenging situations.
- Reliable and punctual with good time management.
- Shared values, discretion, respect and a passion for caring for others is essential
- A car driver, with access to a car
