Care Assistant (Days / Nights)
Location: The Maltings, Bridlington, West Yorkshire
Hours: 42 hours per week
Salary: £13.00 per hour
Shift Pattern: Day shifts or Night shifts available
About the Role
We are seeking dedicated Care Assistants to join our team at The Maltings, our brand new 59-bed care home in Bridlington. This role is pivotal in enhancing the daily lives of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care in a warm, homely environment
Responsibilities
- Help residents with everyday personal care routines- such as getting washed and dressed, using the bathroom, and mealtimes - ensuring they feel comfortable and respected.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, creating a warm and caring atmosphere
- Support residents to maintain their independence and dignity at all times
- Help residents with mobility, including the use of mobility aids where required
- Participate in social activities and engage residents in meaningful interactions
- Record and report any changes in residents' condition to senior staff
- Maintain accurate care records in accordance with company policies
- Ensure residents' rooms and communal areas are kept clean and welcoming
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and infection control procedures
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- A genuine passion for caring and making a positive difference to people's lives
- Excellent communication skills and a warm, empathetic nature
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, patient, and respectful of residents' dignity and privacy
- Previous care experience is desirable but not essential – full training provided
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not essential
