The role of a support worker will involve:

  • Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, reviews, and implementation.
  • Building professional relationships with the people we support, you’ll enable them to enjoy a wide range of activities at home and in the community.
  • Forming effective relationships with young people, their families, and other external agencies.
  • Ensuring the home is kept clean and in a tidy condition, encouraging the young people to participate in various activities as appropriate.
  • Ensuring that good quality records are maintained as required with supervision and advice from management.
  • Maintain and promote support work to high levels of professionalism expected by the organisation and its stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the educational and social development of each young person and assist in the implementation of Individual Support Plans.
  • Meet the emotional and physical needs of our young people and maximise opportunities for their development.

What we are looking for from:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience in care settings (desirable)
  • Passion to help nurture young people
  • Be able to work shift patterns, including sleep-ins (Rota pattern provided in advance)
