Sewing Costume Alterations Wardrobe Pattern Reading Teamwork Volunteer Work

FULL DESCRIPTION

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] seeks volunteers for their wardrobe team, assisting with costume alterations and additions. Work involves both at-home tasks and on-site work during the festival rehearsal period at Bryanston, Blandford Forum. Competent sewers with their own sewing machines are preferred. Coffee and free lunch are provided.

Volunteering with the wardrobe team

We are looking for volunteers to join our friendly wardrobe team. The team works with a professional wardrobe designer. You will be involved with alterations and additions to hired or made costumes.

Where? You will undertake some of the work at home and, during the festival rehearsal period, you will work in the sewing room on site at Bryanston, Blandford Forum, DT11 0PS

When? Before the Festival starts some costumes are made for the chorus with patterns supplied by the designer. These are usually available some weeks before and this work is done in your own time from home.  You will need to be available to come to Bryanston daily from mid July – in 2026, from July 7th or 8th TBC. If you can’t manage some days due to prior commitments, it is very likely this can be accommodated.

Experience required: You should be a competent sewer, preferably with your own sewing machine. There is plenty of friendly help and assistance if you feel your skills need enhancing.

This is a volunteer role. Coffee and free lunch are provided.
