We are a fast-growing UK technology business specialising in advanced connectivity solutions that enhance passenger Wi-Fi experiences on high-speed transport networks. Our innovative offload technologies ensure reliable high-performance connectivity for passengers across challenging mobile environments such as trains and other moving vehicles.
As we continue to expand our product suite and partnerships across the rail and transport sector, we are seeking an exceptional leader to head out High-Speed Transport business line. This will be a pivotal role driving the company’s strategic direction, commercial performance and product roadmap in this key market.
About the Role
The Head of High-Speed Transport is responsible for the strategic, commercial, and operational leadership of the company’s high-speed transport business line. This includes defining and executing the market strategy, managing the product and technology roadmap, driving revenue growth, and ensuring commercial success across the portfolio.
You will work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and operations teams to ensure the business line delivers sustainable growth, innovation, and customer value.
- Define and own the business line’s strategic direction within the wider company vision.
- Develop market positioning and long-term growth plans for connectivity offload and passenger Wi-Fi solutions in the transport sector.
- Identify emerging trends, technologies, and regulatory factors affecting the high-speed connectivity market.
- Drive revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the business line.
- Lead pricing strategy and commercial models for products and services.
- Oversee business development efforts, including customer acquisition, partnerships, and key account management within the transport industry.
- Evaluate and develop new commercial opportunities with train operators, system integrators, and infrastructure partners.
- Define and manage the product roadmap aligned with customer needs, technological innovation, and business objectives.
- Work closely with engineering and product teams to translate market requirements into deliverable solutions.
- Ensure effective prioritisation of product features, performance targets, and release schedules.
- Lead a small, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering growth and innovation in the transport sector.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams across marketing, finance, and operations to ensure business line success.
- Monitor and report performance metrics to the executive team.
About You
- You will bring leadership experience from rail transport technology, telecommunications, connectivity, or a related B2B technology sector.
- You will understand passenger connectivity, mobile networks, or Wi-Fi offload solutions and how they shape customer experiences.
- You will have managed a P&L, taking ownership of pricing, revenue, and margin performance.
- You will have defined product roadmaps and delivered successful go-to-market strategies.
- You will have worked with transport operators, infrastructure providers, or technology partners to deliver impactful solutions.
- You will combine strategic thinking with strong analytical and commercial skills.
- You will communicate clearly, build trusted relationships, and influence effectively at every level.
