FULL DESCRIPTION
The Corporate Insolvency Business Development Executive is a telephone-based, business-to-business role responsible for engaging with directors, business owners, accountants, and professional intermediaries to identify distressed businesses and guide them towards the right insolvency or restructuring solution.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound corporate insolvency enquiries via telephone, conducting professional and empathetic initial consultations with directors and business owners in financial difficulty.
- Proactively engage with professional intermediaries — including accountants, solicitors, and financial advisors — to develop and maintain referral relationships that generate a consistent pipeline of corporate enquiries.
- Identify the most appropriate insolvency or restructuring pathway for each business, presenting options clearly and confidently and securing commitment within the conversion window.
- Manage and progress a pipeline of corporate leads through the CRM system, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely follow-up at every stage.
- Collaborate closely with insolvency practitioners and the wider [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] team to ensure smooth handover of cases and a seamless client experience from first contact through to appointment.

- Strong telephone communication skills confident, articulate, and able to adapt tone and style to suit a range of professional and business audiences.
- Excellent listening skills able to ask the right questions, understand complex business situations quickly, and reflect back clearly what has been heard.
- A genuinely empathetic approach able to recognise the emotional weight of business failure and handle sensitive conversations with care, professionalism, and without judgement.

Desirable
- Business-to-business sales, account management, or relationship development experience ideally in financial services, professional services, or a B2B advisory environment.
- Knowledge of corporate insolvency processes including CVL, CVA, administration, or pre-pack or a willingness to learn quickly through structured training.
- Experience working with professional intermediaries such as accountants or solicitors.
