Asaself-employed/freelanceworker,youareresponsibleforanyandalltaxduetoHMRC.Assuchyou arenotentitledtoholidayorsickpayandwillnotbeenrolledinanypensionscheme.
Thiswillbecontractedasanongoingpositionsubjecttoterminationregulationsassetoutinthe contract.

Dutiesand Overall Responsibilities:

Reporting
- Aspartoftherole,briefwrittennotesonattainmentandimprovementforeachstudentwillbe required.Thesewillbesharedwiththestudentsattheendofeachterm.
Meetingattendance
- Therewillbeonestafftrainingmeetingpertermheldtheweekafterhalftermtocollaborate, checkinonprogressandtosharethoughtstowardstheendoftermshowing.Thiswillbeone hourandpaidatnationallivingwage.
Budgetarycontrol
- Aspartoftherole,resourcescanberequestedbutrequiredtobeagreedtoandpurchasedby theHeadofNonDegreeStudies-FayeElvin.
Thisisadescriptionofthejobasitispresentlyconstituted.ItisthepracticeofBristolOldVicTheatreSchooltoexaminejob descriptionsfromtimetotimeandtoupdatethemtoensuretheyrelatetothejobasthenbeingperformed,ortoincorporate whateverchangesarebeingproposed.Thiswillbeconductedinconsultationwithyou.Itistheorganisationsaimtoreach agreementonchanges,butifagreementisnotpossibletheorganisationreservestherighttoinsistonchangestoyourjob descriptionafterconsultationwithyou.BristolOldVicTheatreSchool’sapproachtoRecruitmentandSelection:

Selection&Assessment
Weusearangeofmethodsattheinterviewstagetoassesscandidatesagainstobjectivejobcriteriacontainedinthejobdescription andemployeecompetenciesapplicabletotherole.Thepurposeistoaccuratelypredictacandidate’sabilitytoperformthejobin question.Allinterviewswillbeundertakenbyapaneloftwoormorepeople,andwewillendeavourforthepaneltoberepresentative ofsociety.Selectionpanelswillkeepwrittennotesoneachapplicantrecordingreasonsfordecisionstaken.Thesearedisclosabletothe applicant.Alldisabledapplicants(asdefinedbytheEqualityAct2010)whomeettheessentialcriteriaasdefinedinthejobdescription willbeguaranteedaninterview.
