This is a hands-on, floor-based role, leading shifts, supporting the team and helping keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
ASSISTANT RESTAURANT & BAR MANAGER
[Employer hidden] is a long-established, independent bar and restaurant in the heart of Tobermory on the Isle of Mull. We’re known for good food, a strong drinks offering and a lively, mixed trade — locals, regulars and visitors throughout the year.
We’re looking for an Assistant Manager to support our General Manager and play an active role in the day-to-day running of the business. This is a hands-on, floor-based role — you’ll be leading shifts, supporting the team and helping keep service running smoothly during busy periods.
The role includes:
- Supporting the General Manager with daily operations
- Running shifts and leading front-of-house service
- Being present and involved on the floor
- Supporting staff training, rotas and team standards
- Helping maintain consistent service and customer experience
- Confidently handling customer queries when needed
About you:
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role in hospitality
- Comfortable in a busy, service-led environment
- Practical, organised and calm under pressure
- Happy to lead by example and get stuck in
- Friendly, professional and reliable
