[Employer hidden] is located on Asmall Lane on the outskirts of Ormskirk. It is a beautiful 17th Century Manor House, set in acres of landscaped gardens and woodland, giving the feeling of tranquility and peacefulness. Only 5 minutes from Ormskirk town centre and 15 minutes from Southport.

The Role

At [Employer hidden], we are searching for a new Healthcare Assistant to join our team. You will be offering person-centred care and support to our residents to make sure they feel safe, secure and content.

As a Healthcare Assistant you will:

  • Provide assistance, personal care, activities and companionship to residents
  • Be alert to resident’s needs, health and well-being
  • Ensure clients are treated with the dignity and respect that they deserve at all times
  • Work with residents and families to deliver tailored care to each individual
  • Assist with mealtimes, ensuring that our clients receive their individual dietary requirements, whilst promoting their independence
  • Take an active role in identifying the changing needs of our clients and realise the importance of maintaining accurate documentation

Your Skills

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience and knowledge of Dementia, with an understanding of the varying behaviours and how it can affect their every day lives
  • Be willing to work towards NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Have good communication skills and literacy skills
  • Have strong interpersonal skills
  • Be a team player
  • Have the ability to use initiative

Qualifications

None required, but increased rate of pay if you hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification. Experience within the care sector is preferred but not essential.
