[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] is looking to appoint a catering assistant to work under direction of our cook in charge to help provide nutritious, balanced and value-for-money meals to our children every lunchtime.

Salary: SCP 12 £28,598 (whole time salary) £22,946.21 (pro-rata salary)

Start Date: 27th April 2026

Contracted Hours: 32.5 hours per week. Term time only.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am – 2:30pm

The successful candidate must:
• Ensure the day to day running of the school kitchen is meeting Bishop Chadwick Catholic Education Trust standards.
• To prepare and serve healthy and nutritious meals to the pupils
• To ensure good kitchen practices and cooking methods.
• To organise and liaise with the catering manager
• To maintain a high standard of personal and kitchen hygiene
• To supervise all relevant personnel within the catering operation
• To complete all relevant administration, purchasing and stock control and financial processes in accordance to the trust procedures and standing orders
• To pro-actively work in partnership with all stakeholders to promote healthy eating and sales.
