FULL DESCRIPTION

Experienced primary school teachers to mentor volunteer numeracy supporters

This is a role for former primary school teachers - and also in-service teachers with huge energy. The Mentor role is to help these tutors to deliver effective support, so that the children acquire confidence, skills, and a sense of achievement in maths.

We are the first and only charity dedicated to tackling innumeracy where it starts - in the early years. Teachers' assessment of the impact of our intervention has consistently been highly positive.

In 2025-26 we will partner with over 40 schools across 15 London boroughs, with about 130 volunteers supporting some 400 children. Your being a Mentor will make an important contribution to this!

Experience as a primary school teacher,

What training we will provide for you

As our Mentors bring deep professional experience, we do not provide specific training. However, we are open to providng training or getting identified speakers if our Mentors suggest.

You will have a close relationship with our Head of Operations who will introduce you to our other Mentors.
