Volunteer Engagement and Activities Youth Worker

• Actively engaging with and spending time with young people. • Encouraging young people to participate and enjoy their sessions. • Working collaboratively with the session lead and other members of staff to support the delivery of sessions.Building positive relationships with young people across the youth zone. • Supporting young people with additional needs. • Acting as a positive role model for young people. • Promoting an inclusive culture where all young people are listened to, valued, and cared for.

What difference you will make

As a Volunteer Engagement and Activities Youth Workers, you are at the forefront of our sessions. Positioned within the recreation area, you will help to create a fun, safe, and supportive environment where you engage with young people in a variety of different ways, for instance playing pool, hosting FIFA tournaments, or having a chat with a young person. In doing so, you will help to build their confidence, social skills, and overall wellbeing.

What additional skills or experience you should have

A background in and/or a passion for engaging and working with young people.

What training we will provide for you

Safeguarding training, prevent awareness training, and staff induction, as well as any additional training that is required for the volunteer role.
