Rhyme Time & Storytelling Leader for School Drop-In Sessions

What difference you will make

By leading Rhyme Time and Story Time sessions for visiting school groups, you will play a meaningful role in inspiring a love of reading, language, and creativity in young children. Your storytelling, songs, and interactive activities help pupils see the library as an exciting and welcoming place to explore.

You will support early literacy and communication skills by introducing children to rhythm, rhyme, narrative, and active participation. Your contribution also helps strengthen the relationship between local schools and the library, encouraging future visits and fostering a sense of community connection.

Most importantly, you’ll create positive, memorable moments that can spark curiosity, build confidence, and show children that books, and libraries, are full of possibilities.

There will be online training modules, as well as an induction from the Library Manager
