Overview

ISMA is a small stress and mental health charity looking for a volunteer to support the technical side of our monthly podcast. We provide the content, interviews and guest speakers, and need someone behind the scenes to help everything run smoothly. We currently use Riverside, so experience with this platform would be helpful. What difference you will make

By supporting the technical side of our monthly podcast, you will help ISMA share trusted information, practical guidance and expert conversations with a wider audience. This will support our work in reducing stress and improving mental health and wellbeing by making our content accessible, professional and engaging. Your contribution behind the scenes will help us reach more people, raise awareness of stress-related issues, and strengthen the charity’s voice and impact.

What additional skills or experience you should have

We are looking for someone with experience of using Riverside, or a similar podcast recording platform, and confidence in managing the technical side of online recording sessions. They should be comfortable supporting speakers with any technical issues, checking audio quality, and helping recordings run smoothly from start to finish. Good communication skills, reliability and an organised approach would also be important.

What training we will provide for you

We will provide an introduction to ISMA, our work, and the purpose of the podcast, together with guidance on how we currently run our recording sessions. The volunteer will be supported by our team and given time to become familiar with our preferred way of working, our speakers, and the format of the podcast. We will also provide a handover on the technical process we currently use and work with the volunteer as they settle into the role.

What you will get out of volunteering for us

You will have the opportunity to use and strengthen your technical and podcast support skills while contributing to a worthwhile cause. You will gain experience working with a professional charity team, support engaging podcast discussions, and play an important part in helping us reach more people with trusted information on stress and mental health
