Website Content Manager
Jewish Tapestry Project 501(C)3 is a partner initiative of [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk], a UK-based non-profit organisation working to support Jewish communities and preserve Jewish heritage across the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe. We are looking for a Volunteer Website Content Manager to take a lead role in managing and maintaining Jewish Tapestry Project’s website, ensuring our online presence is engaging, accurate, and up to date. This volunteer role focuses on the publicity and communications side of the project and plays an important part in supporting our charitable work.
- Ensure all website pages are correctly formatted, visually appealing, and fully functional (including hyperlinks, buttons, and embedded media)
- Update and amend existing web pages and posts as required
- Work collaboratively with our designer and team members to create new website pages supporting projects, campaigns, and events
- Upload and format news articles, project updates, and other content in line with brand guidelines
- Proof-read website content to ensure a high standard of spelling, grammar, and clarity before publication
- Help maintain consistency across the website in terms of style, tone, and layout

What additional skills or experience you should have
Required skills / experience
● Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and volunteers
● Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
● Excellent written English, with confidence in proofreading and editing content
● Experience using WordPress (training will be provided for any additional plugins used)
Desirable (but not essential) skills / experience
● Experience with WPBakery Page Builder would be advantageous but not essential, as this can be learned on the job
● An eye for design and user experience
● Basic understanding of website accessibility and best practice
● Interest in Jewish history, culture, heritage, or charitable work
