As a Lego Bunch Volunteer at Childs Hill Library, you will help create a fun and imaginative space where children can explore, build, and express themselves using LEGO bricks. Your role is to support open‑ended play that encourages creativity, problem‑solving, and fine motor skills in a relaxed and friendly environment. This session runs every Wednesday from 3:15pm - 4:45pm. Key tasks include: Setting up and packing away LEGO materials before and after each session. Welcoming children and fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive atmosphere. Encouraging imaginative play without directing or limiting children’s ideas. Supporting children as needed while promoting independence and creative exploration. Supervising the activity to ensure the safe and appropriate use of LEGO pieces. Engaging positively with children, responding to questions, ideas, and needs during the session. Following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times.
