Volunteer Guides – Jewish Living Experience Exhibition (Eccles Library, Salford)
The Board of Deputies’ Jewish Living Experience Exhibition welcomes local school groups and community visitors to learn about Jewish life, culture and traditions. Volunteers will welcome visitors, talk about Jewish life, answer questions, and help guide visitors.
What you’ll be doing
- Welcoming school groups and other visitors to the exhibition
- Talking to students about Jewish life, festivals and traditions
- Answering questions and adding your own personal experiences
- Helping teachers guide their classes through the exhibition displays
What additional skills or experience you should have
We are looking for friendly, confident volunteers to help greet visiting groups and share what being Jewish means to you. Volunteers who are comfortable speaking with children and young people A warm, approachable manner An interest in helping others learn about Judaism Reliability and availability for one or more sessions
