Manufacturing Engineer
[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client based in Aberdeen. The role will be on a 12-month contract and the hours of work will be: Mon - Fri: 8 hrs/day. 40 hrs / week. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for: Identify inspection features associated with rental tooling – updating and creating ITPs in the process where required. Provide Survey dispositions and repair workscopes on completion of inspection to facilitate refurbishment. Providing technical support and guidance to the workshop in order to execute projects effectively and deliver to our customer.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Identify inspection features associated with rental tooling – updating and creating ITPs in the process where required.
- Provide Survey dispositions and repair workscopes on completion of inspection to facilitate refurbishment.
- Providing technical support and guidance to the workshop in order to execute projects effectively and deliver to our customer.
- Monitoring manufacturing cycle times and propose improvements and action plans.
- Defining the correct test equipment to carry out work scopes and work closely with the tooling team to get these tools into maintenance.
- Leading by example to achieve highest HSE and Quality performance.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align and support execution of deliverables while sharing lessons learned.
- Working closely with the shop floor to define and improve manufacturing tasks, such as lifting operations, testing, assembly / dis-assembly method
