HR Manager

The role reports to the CFO and is responsible for the HR duties across the business and supporting [Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk]’s HR strategy and plan.
This is an exciting time to be joining the business as we continue to flourish with strong revenue growth and increasing our workforce.
As a member of the senior management team, it is essential to build trusted relationships with all managers and employees and be a dependable source for support and knowledge.
The role is likely to suit an established HR manager alongside those less experienced looking for their first HR manager role.
A training package for a route to CIPD level 5 and/or 7 can be supported.
The role in a nutshell, you’ll be…
- Be an active member of the senior management team, providing HR advice guidance and support to the Exec team, senior managers and employees.
- Oversee the governance of HR within the business.
- Partner with the Exec team and senior managers to plan, forecast and undertake our next phase of growth.
- Support the recruitment process undertaken by managers, ensuring legal compliance and a positive candidate/ employee onboarding experience.
- Continue the development of a performance management culture and practices.
- Shape and oversee an L&D approach that enhances skill set, knowledge, and motivates the team.
- Full responsibility for the administration of the HR system ensuring compliance and engagement across the whole business.
- Ensure appropriate HR policy, HR process, risk mitigation and ethical practises ensure legal compliance.
- Develop and support managers in all people practices, coaching them on any employee relations/ performance management issues that may arise.
- Administer monthly payroll updates ahead of sign-off
- Support the CFO with the relationship with our benefit providers and other third-party vendors.
- Manage and maximise our HR budgets.
- Be a trusted advisor to the CFO and Exec team.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Experienced, qualified, and proven HR professional (to CIPD Level 3 or higher).
- Experience of working within a SME or fast-growing business.
- Up to date knowledge of HR legislation and best practices.
- Pragmatic in own approach to reflect the high growth stage of our business.
Desirable:
- Experienced, qualified, and proven HR professional (to CIPD Level 5 or higher).
- Experience of working within a SaaS software business.
- Experience of working in a stand-alone HR role.
- Experience of working with knowledge based technical/software development teams.
