Bunzl – Retail & Packaging Division
Salary - £40,000 + Car Allowance
Location - Burton Latimer (with travel to Stevenage and Manchester)
Hybrid working - 2 days at home , frequent travel required

We’re looking for a proactive and organised HR Advisor to join our HR team supporting our Warehouse and Transport operations. This is a varied generalist role where you will provide guidance to managers, support employee relations matters, and ensure HR processes run smoothly across the division.
Working closely with HR Managers and the Divisional HR Director, you’ll play a key role in recruitment, employee engagement, HR administration, and people-related projects that support our business and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
- Support hiring managers with recruitment processes, including job descriptions and interview preparation
- Ensure all onboarding documentation and employment checks are completed
- Provide advice and guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures
- Support with absence management, performance issues, disciplinary and grievance processes
- Attend meetings, provide note-taking support, and prepare relevant documentation
- Support engagement initiatives and follow up on employee surveys
- Assist with on-site culture and Diversity & Inclusion activities
- Coordinate training requests and support HR training workshops
- Support onboarding, contractual changes, and exit processes
- Produce monthly HR KPI reports and provide people data when required
- Monitor key HR processes including appraisals, recruitment activity, and learning systems
- Support wider HR projects aligned to the divisional HR strategy
About You
- Experience in an HR Advisor or HR generalist role
- Knowledge of employee relations and employment legislation
- Strong organisational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
