FULL DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be the primary business and technical interface to our customers and partners in several countries in the EMEA region. The role involves driving sales, building sales plans, managing partner networks, and providing technical support.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive orders to agreed targets
  • Build yearly sales plans in collaboration with our sales partners, with key goals and metrics to meet and exceed assigned sales target.
  • Actively seek opportunities working with the Sales Partners and motivating them to identify, build and close profitable orders to meet and exceed assigned sales target.
  • Ensure the partners are trained to successfully sell our solutions.
  • Daily management of the opportunity pipeline in the CRM.
  • Organising and conducting successful customer meetings that lead to sales. Significant amount of international travel is expected to visit existing, and identify potential new, customers.
  • Provide input for outbound marketing collateral.
  • Provide technical support (in person and/or remotely) for customer trials and evaluations with the support of the local FAE and/or HQ support teams.
  • Act as the first point of contact for customers for technical and application queries and ensure responses are sent in a timely manner.
  • Attend promotional events e.g. exhibitions, tradeshows, conferences, seminars, etc.

  • Manage commitments to customer – drive delivering what the customer needs, by close interaction with the customer and agreeing aggressive and realistic targets with our internal Product teams.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in a Business Development role, operating in a B2B technical hardware business.
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering)
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding of key areas of responsibility.
  • Track record of building and managing channel partner networks.
  • Track record of strategy development and execution.
  • Track record of building cross-functional relationships across other teams in the business.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skill set.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in the electronics test and measurement industry.
  • Experience in the sectors of telecommunications, data centres and/or development products for deployment in cloud computing.
  • Knowledge of networking technologies.
