Quality Control Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor specialising in concrete products to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in concrete production, quality control methodologies, and leadership skills to effectively supervise our processes and procedures while maintaining a quality end product. This role is crucial in upholding our commitment to delivering durable and reliable concrete products to our customers.

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Control Supervisor specialising in concrete products to ensure the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in concrete production, quality control methodologies, and leadership skills to effectively supervise our processes and procedures while maintaining a quality end product. This role is crucial in upholding our commitment to delivering durable and reliable concrete products to our customers.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all aspects of quality control within the concrete production process, from raw material inspection to final product testing.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of concrete production facilities to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality control data, including test results, inspection reports, and production logs.
  • Monitor equipment performance and calibration to ensure accuracy and reliability of testing procedures.
  • Stay informed about advancements in concrete technology and quality control methodologies to continuously improve processes and standards.
  • Coordinate with external quality assurance agencies and participate in audits and certifications as required.
  • Implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Conduct or assist with regulatory and quality training sessions.
  • Comply with the company’s policies & procedures and Health & Safety regulations.
  • Undertake additional duties as and when required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • Have a strong knowledge of concrete production processes, materials properties, and testing methods.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Quality Management Systems.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions and drawings, desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
