Graduate Finance Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate to start a career in finance. As an entry level role, you will be inducted into the finance team and gain wide experience across a range of responsibilities in finance. The successful applicant will receive training to qualify as either an ACCA or CIMA accountant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of bank reconciliations of UK companies and overseas subsidiaries
  • Maintenance of fixed assets and VAT returns
  • Month-end accounting journals and related activities
  • Build supplier relationships as a key contact.
  • Document, code and review accounts payable invoices.
  • Prepare payment runs in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Customer account reconciliation and debt management
  • Payroll journals for UK companies and overseas subsidiaries.
  • Liaise with external auditors.

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with a 2:1 or higher;
  • Highly numerate and ability to deal with large volumes of data;
  • Proficient in excel, particularly pivot tables and v-lookups;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the company and externally;
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation skills;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to work;
  • Ability to work unsupervised;
  • Desire to learn new skills and take on responsibility when required;
  • Flexibility towards tasks with the ability to work effectively using own initiative
