About the Role
A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. This is a key role for a highly motivated individual who can ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards—on time, on budget, and with a strong focus on safety and performance.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project execution to meet contract specifications across quality, timeline, and budget parameters.
- Effectively plan and deploy human and material resources to maximize cost-efficiency.
- Enforce health and safety compliance for all site-based and remote personnel.
- Lead operational teams in delivering robust, high-quality projects across the UK.
- Support corporate strategies, particularly related to profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
- Manage contractual performance in line with KPIs and approved budgets.
- Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely, cost-effective project execution.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting.
- Recruit, mentor, and manage staff to ensure consistent delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience managing utility-scale, ground-mounted Solar PV projects.
- Familiarity with BESS integration is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience reviewing technical documents, budgets, and schedules.
- HNC qualified with certifications such as SMSTS, CDM, or IOSH.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and a valid full driving license.
