About the Role

A leading renewable energy company is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. This is a key role for a highly motivated individual who can ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality standards—on time, on budget, and with a strong focus on safety and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee project execution to meet contract specifications across quality, timeline, and budget parameters.
  • Effectively plan and deploy human and material resources to maximize cost-efficiency.
  • Enforce health and safety compliance for all site-based and remote personnel.
  • Lead operational teams in delivering robust, high-quality projects across the UK.
  • Support corporate strategies, particularly related to profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency.
  • Manage contractual performance in line with KPIs and approved budgets.
  • Coordinate with supply chain partners to ensure timely, cost-effective project execution.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and reporting.
  • Recruit, mentor, and manage staff to ensure consistent delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience managing utility-scale, ground-mounted Solar PV projects.
  • Familiarity with BESS integration is highly desirable.
  • Hands-on experience reviewing technical documents, budgets, and schedules.
  • HNC qualified with certifications such as SMSTS, CDM, or IOSH.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and a valid full driving license.
