Pastor

UBC aims to disciple and nurture the fellowship of believers and reach people for God's glory through evangelism in the local community. The primary purpose of this role is to prayerfully lead, teach, and shepherd the flock at UBC, faithfully proclaim the Word of God, disciple believers, and equip the church for mission and ministry.

UBC is located in Barking, East London and is seeking to appoint a full time pastor to lead and serve the congregation.
The pastor will work alongside the elder(s) to lead the church in unity.
Required Skills
The candidate will have a deep love for the Lord and His church, and a desire to see its members grow in maturity and faith. They will also have a strong pastoral heart and a genuine love for people including ministry to the local community - a diverse, predominantly Muslim area. The successful candidate will demonstrate the biblical qualities of an overseer as outlined in 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1. These qualities include being above reproach, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, and able to teach.
