Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re in an exciting period of high growth globally, operating in a fast-paced environment – we’re looking for an experienced Ops leader with a remit to initially embed themselves operationally in our day-to-day functions, solve problems and set our processes up to scale. Before then building out an Ops function across HR, Hiring, Finance, IT and Business Operations.

For this role it’s essential that you can lead from the front, produce scalable process and simple solutions to problems, and then work independently to implement change and bring about a positive difference.  We’re looking for someone who can think strategically at a high level, but also importantly drive those changes at the hands-on level.

Immediate Focus:

The immediate focus (1-6 months) will be on embedding yourself in the day-to-day operations of the company – with an emphasis on process implementation and optimisation across teams to enable us to continue to operate at scale globally.

This stretches across several internal teams:

  • Live Operations – ensuring client support in game
  • Content Operations – ensuring the quality of content outputted
  • Creative Content – responsible for design and content creation
  • Delivery / Project Management – responsible for client integrations and ongoing client support

There is no specialised technical/software skill required - it’s about taking problems and providing effective solutions that will continue to work at scale.

Longer Term:

Beyond that immediate period there will be the opportunity to build out an Operations function across Hiring, HR, IT, Finance and general Business Operations – but the immediate priority is to set us up to continue to scale at the day-to-day operational level.

Qualifications

What's important to us:

  • Demonstrable experience scaling and optimising process
  • A strong desire to get stuck in, in a hands-on approach
  • A natural problem solver, with a strong bias towards simple solutions
  • You’ve worked in a fast paced, high growth, start-up type environment
  • The ability to work independently to understand problems and deliver solutions
  • You thrive on autonomy, set your own direction and have the confidence to deliver
  • You think creatively and translate ideas into actionable, date driven items
  • Able to hire effectively across functions
  • Prefer action over extended high-level thinking and can separate signal from noise
  • You’re a generalist – who has an understanding of various Ops functions
  • You can communicate clearly at all levels within the company – from junior staff to the CEO and Board, in a clear and concise approach
  • You’ve worked effectively asynchronously in a distributed team
  • 5+ years experience as an Operations Manager (or similar) in a high growth, fast paced, start-up environment

It’s essential you have experience in a similar Ops leadership role, or 5+ year's experience as an Operations Manager and looking for the next step up

Benefits

IMMEDIATE BENEFITS

  • 33 days’ holiday
  • High end laptop - macOS or Windows!
  • Top of the range monitors, headphones, keyboard, mouse and gel rests
  • Paid training to further your skills
  • Annual Flu inoculation
  • Team outings and monthly meets

  • Up to £700 to spend on a chair, desk or any other necessary workspace equipment to kit out your home office.

And that’s it!
