Role: Science Teacher

Start date:September 2025

End date:July 2026 (39 week – term only contract)

Salary:£38,766 – £50,288 per annum – Inner London pay scale.

Location: Lewisham – South-East London

The Role

[Employer hidden — view at passion-project.co.uk] are currently working with an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ 5-form entry Secondary based in Lewisham. They are currently seeking a Science Teacher for the next academic year. The role is open to both experience Teachers and exceptional ECTs and would be for the duration of the academic year. There is potential for the role to become permanent the following year for the right person.

As a Science Teacher the role would include all elements and responsibilities expected including planning, preparing and delivering high quality lessons, assessments and reports, liaising with children, parents and other staff and supporting the children both in the classroom and around the school. You would be delivering lessons across Key Stage 3-5.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Subject specialism in science.
  • Understanding of SEND and experience planning for children with EHCPs.
  • Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies
  • Resilience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable students
