The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging physical education programmes that promote health, fitness, and well-being among students. This role requires a strong ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities – PE Teacher:

  • Teach Physical Education across Key Stage 3, 4, and 5, fostering a love for sport and physical activity in students.
  • Deliver engaging, inclusive, and challenging lessons to students of all abilities.
  • Ensure the development and progression of students’ physical, social, and emotional well-being through sport and fitness.
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of extra-curricular sports activities and events.
  • Promote a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and achievement.

Requirements – PE Teacher:

  • Proven experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting, with a strong understanding of the curriculum for KS3, 4, and 5.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS) or a degree in Physical Education or a related field is highly beneficial.
  • Strong class management skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
  • A passion for sports and physical education, with a commitment to inspiring and motivating students.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute to the wider school community.
