Role Description – Primary Teacher – Year 5

We’re supporting a warm, inclusive one-form entry primary school in West London in their search for an experienced, committed Year 5 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

This is a confidential search and a critical appointment for the school at a key point in their journey. The school community is proud, passionate, and deeply invested in the progress and wellbeing of every child. They are now looking for a teacher who shares that same spirit – someone who is not just here for a job, but to make a difference.

The Role:

This Year 5 class needs strong, consistent leadership – someone who can bring firm but fair boundaries, build trust quickly, and create a structured, safe learning environment where every child, including those with additional needs, can thrive.

You’ll be teaching within an established curriculum, with well-developed schemes and resources already in place. What’s needed is someone who can adapt to the school’s approach, take ownership of quality within the classroom (particularly in pupils’ written work), and align with the school’s high expectations for behaviour, learning, and care.
