- Position: Cover Supervisor - Location: Hounslow, London - Start Date: ASAP - Day Rate: £120-125 per day - Contract Type: Full-Time, Long Term

We are seeking a highly motivated and academic Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team in Hounslow. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management skills and a minimum of a 1 year teaching or covering in Secondary Schools in some capacity. It is highly desirable if you have a Master’s degree, or an excellent academic background. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of lessons and supporting students in their academic progress.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage students across a variety of subjects during the absence of their regular teacher.
• Maintain a productive learning environment by following lesson plans, ensuring students remain engaged, and supporting their academic needs.
• Assist with classroom activities, ensuring discipline is maintained and that students meet their educational targets.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student progress and classroom management.
• Support the development and delivery of curriculum content where applicable.
• Help implement and maintain school policies, including those on safeguarding and student welfare.

Essential Requirements:

• A bachelors degree 2:1 minimum in a relevant academic field.
• Previous experience working with secondary school students, preferably within a teaching or supervisory capacity.
• Strong curriculum knowledge across a range of subjects (specialist knowledge in any subject area is an advantage).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive, confident approach to managing and motivating students.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to different teaching environments.
• A passion for supporting students’ educational development.

Desirable:

• A masters degree.
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
• Desire to move into a Teaching role in the future.
