Are you a qualified History Teacher seeking a vibrant and supportive school community in Enfield?

This wonderful school is looking for a dedicated teacher to join their Humanities department on a maternity cover contract from September 2025.

Whether you’re an experienced teacher or an ECT, you’ll be welcomed into a collaborative team that prioritises staff development, student engagement, and a love of learning.

History Teacher – The Role:

  • Teaching History at KS3 and KS4
  • Opportunity to teach KS5 History for the right candidate
  • Some flexibility across Humanities/Social Sciences may be required based on timetable needs
  • Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with curriculum expectations
  • Track progress and provide personalised support to students
  • Work collaboratively with an experienced and nurturing department

  • Holds UK QTS (or is completing their ECT year by summer 2025)
  • Holds a 2:1 or above in History or a related Humanities/Social Science subject
  • Has experience teaching History at secondary level
  • Confident classroom practitioner with excellent behaviour management
  • Flexible, adaptable, and passionate about your subject
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Able to build positive, respectful relationships with students and colleagues
