FULL DESCRIPTION

Behaviour Teaching Assistant (PRU Based) – Full-Time – ASAP Start – Contract – £105-£115 Per Day – Enfield

The Role of the Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students manage their emotions and behaviour.
  • Set firm boundaries while building trust and strong relationships with students.
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging engagement in education and personal development.
  • De-escalate challenging situations and implement strategies to promote positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external agencies to support student progress.

The Ideal Candidate for the Behaviour Teaching Assistant Role:

  • Experience as a Behaviour Mentor, SEMH TA, Youth Worker, or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs, trauma-informed approaches, and behaviour management techniques.
  • Incredibly confident, able to set clear expectations while showing empathy and patience.
  • Experience working with young people involved in gangs, knife crime, or at risk of exclusion.
  • Passionate about helping vulnerable young people turn their lives around.
