Behaviour Mentor – ASAP Start – Full-Time – £100-£110 Per Day – Enfield

We are seeking a confident and experienced Behaviour Mentor to join this vibrant secondary school in Enfield. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in mental health and a commitment to helping students overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities of the Behaviour Mentor:

  • Provide one-to-one mentoring and support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in managing behaviour effectively, creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with the pastoral team to address students’ individual needs and support their emotional development.
  • Build strong relationships with students, acting as a role model and advocate for their well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement tailored strategies that help students succeed.
  • Supervise detentions and exclusion rooms.

About the Successful Behaviour Mentor:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly in managing behaviour, is essential.
  • Education: A degree in Psychology or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Confident, empathetic, and patient, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Motivation: A strong interest in mental health and aspirations to progress into pastoral care or a behaviour mentoring role.
  • Compliance: Must have a valid DBS on the update service and be able to provide excellent references covering the last two years.
